European Forum of Deposit Insurance (EFDI):
State Company „Deposit and Investment Insurance“ (the Company) actively participates in international activity of deposit and liabilities to investors insurers. The company is full member of the European Forum of Deposit Insurance.
EFDI is the organization that unifies 68 European Deposit insurance companies from 44 countries. The Company became full member of this organization in 2004, and since then participates in constant meetings and conferences and annual general meetings.
EFDI aims to ensure and contribute to European financial stability and maintains close work relations with European and international organizations, that are responsible for financial stability, participate in making decisions regarding growth of financial markets, stability and consistency. EFDI publicizes and helps implementing best European deposit insurance system standards, bank resolution mechanisms, shares best experience and expert recommendations implementing new and improving present deposit insurance systems.
EFDI maintains close working relations with main European and academic society and international organizations, especially with European Commission (EC), European Central Bank (ECB), European Banking Authority (EBA), World Bank (WB), International Monetary Fund (IMF), and International Association of Deposit Insurers (IADI).
In 2015, November 5, the Company was declared as a party that will organize EFDI annual general meeting and conference in Lithuania in 2016, September 29 – October 1.
International Association of Deposit Insurers (IADI):
The Company actively participates in International Association of Deposit Insurers‘ activity (www.iadi.org). IADI was established in 2002, and unifies 82 members from the world.
The Company maintains relations with 35 deposit and liabilities to investors insurance institutions in 33 countries in the world, amongst them 26 in Europe, 4 – Asia, 3 – South America, 2 – North America.
